The Lagos State Chairman of Accord Party, Comrade Lanre Ogundare, has denied all the allegations levelled against him by some unknown elements claiming to be members of the party in the state.
The statement reads in part “l find it necessary to clear the air on the allegation leveled against my person by some unknown element claiming to be members of Accord in Lagos state”
“Firstly, in the political history of Accord in Lagos state, I was the first and the only person to have produce candidates that serve under the platform of the party in 2018 LGA election. (Won 3 seats at poll and 2 others at the tribunal, attached are certificate of return issue by LASIEC).”
“On the issue of being a financial member of the party. I made BOLD to say that after Hon. Kako Are that serve as MHR, you can’t mention 5 other financial in Lagos Accord without mentioning Comr. Lanre Ogundare.”
“On the issue of DSS (Wanted) I make BOLD to say that the DSS never at any point declared me WENTED, they will need to contend that with me at the DSS office at the appropriate time. They said in 2023 that I nominated a woman resident in Mushin, for Ajeromi Ifelodun HoR. Blatant lie as well, the candidate was a formal resident of mushin (I have applied for CTC of the nomination form of the candidate in (question). Unlike Tosin Oladeji who contested for Oto Awori LCDA in 2018 LGA election despite being a resident of Odi Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA (proof available on request).”
He stated further that “the presidential candidate of the party in 2023 general election in person of Prof. Christopher Imumolen paid directly to the National Office under the leadership of Hon. Nalado as Chairman, Hon. Dr. Adebukola Ajaja as National Secretary, Bar. Maxwell Mgbudem as Legal Adviser, while the expression of interest fee was sent to the only account operated by Lagos state Accord chapter in WEMA bank PLC. (Proof available on request). Not only did the National office remit payment alone, the National office was also in Lagos for the official declaration and flag off of the presidential campaign in Oshodi with most of the state Chairmen in attendance.”
According to him, “Unlike the bunch of the petitioners that falsely raised the hope of several innocent candidates till the last day of election before publicly supporting and endorsing the APC candidate at the eve of the election. ( proof available on request). Who can we address to be more patriotic as a party man? On the issue/claims that I dupe dozens of electoral aspirants. (at the appropriate time, I will take him up, while he show proof and bring forward ANY aspirants or Candidates that I duped in 2019).”
“The only recognize and official Accord office is 75, Dopemu Rd, Agege, Lagos, before relocating to Accord House No 27 Oyewole Street, Ile Ise Bus stop, off shyllon Street, Odi-Olowo, Mushin, Lagos. (Hon. Kako Are’s constituency office). “For the record, they claimed to have consulted the LGA, which of the LGA are they referring to, congress LGA or factional LGA operated by Rev. Adeniyi and co in Lagos, well I leave that for another day.”
“As for Lagos Accord, find attached pictures of the Ward, LGA and State congress conducted in August 3-5th, 2023 at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, INEC, DSS, Police, NSCDC are all fully represented. I repeat myself, I will takeup the DEFAMATION of character highlighted by the petitioners in the petition and seek redress in court of competent jurisdiction at the appropriate time, while all agencies mentioned therein will be joined to show proof.I dont know how much he was paid to do the dirty bidding, well time will tell”, he added.
