Agents from the Department of State Services (DSS) conducted a raid on the Abuja office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).
Reports indicate that the officers requested to meet with the organization’s directors during the operation.
This raid comes on the heels of the recent arrest of Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), by DSS operatives at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Ajaero was detained just before he was set to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official trip.
